Marbella and Around

Marbella means Beautiful Sea – the heart of the Costa del Sol growing and changing with each New Year. The town of Marbella is at the centre of the Region of Marbella that stretches from Estapona Region (not to be confused with Estepona Town) to Mijas Costa Region.

The Marbella Town Hall (built in 1568) is situated in Orange Square in the old town of Marbella which dates back to 1485.

The Marbella Club built by Alfonso de Hohenlohe is situated on the Golden Mile between Marbella Town and Puerto Banus and is really the place the modern jet set firmly established themselves and turned Marbella from a small fishing village into an international tourist hot spot, of course the almost perfect climate and the range of golf courses has also helped but for sure Marbella is truly a wonderful place to visit or as many are now finding out a great place to live.
